Deciding What Is Worth Fighting For
Have you ever been in a situation when you knew you were right? Or that your points were valid and you could win? Later realizing that if you would have just been quiet you could have saved some energy and time and less hurtful words. It takes alot to listen and even more to not defend yourself. Learning your triggers and how to manage yourself will help you. Sometimes not putting all your cards in will save your heart less pain. NO one is saying not being honest is the way but holding back information is a great way to hold your ground. Too often people will get in a heated argument and start to throw every rock they can find... Family members drama, your childhood drama, and yes your drama to the date. Now you find yourself saying I know they didnt just say that and before you know it you have dropped the largest bomb. You won but you have hurt the one you love along the way. No one wins in arguments, so why not just have a conversation without the blame game. Try listening and taking turns for once. It can work if both parties want to make it work. Fighting for something and for nothing is two reasons for you to determine is it worth fighting for.
